in this, our beautiful United States of America.....
How lucky we are!!!!

On July 4, 1776, we claimed our independence from England
and Democracy was born. In 1941, Congress declared July 4
a legal Federal holiday. Today, communities across the nation mark
this major midsummer holiday with parades, fireworks,
picnics and the playing of the "Star Spangled Banner"
and marches by John Philip Sousa.




The birth of United States of America involved struggle and
sacrifices that helped the pre-US Americans break free
of their colonial status.

There have been great empires before ours,
with their population exceeding hundreds of billions.
But none has experienced the growth that The United States has,
with people coming to this country from so many
different places.... resulting in the integration today,
to belong to our United States.

We, as a society, have an obligation to be vigilant
in rectifying imbalances and in erasing attitudes of bias that
continue to arise.

Let everyone remember this: whoever comes to this
United States is then, AMERICAN, believes in the
American dream and lives here for the freedom
that is ours.

If they have alternate goals and motivation, they
will not participate for long.
Instead, they will lose the freedom
and the liberty that we as Americans enjoy.

The Declaration of Independence proper begins with
the following famous lines:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident,
that all men are created equal, that they are
endowed, BY THEIR CREATOR, with certain unalienable Rights,
that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit
of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are
instituted among Men, deriving their just powers
from the consent of the governed,--That whenever any
Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends,
it is the Right of the People to alter or to
abolish it, and to institute new Government..."
